Memphis in May with A.R CASH

We have been very busy but had a wonderful time the past week visiting Jackson & Memphis, TN and Dyess, AR. WS Holland (drummer for Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash) graciously invited us to his home in Jackson for a jam session and visit with himself and Ron Haney. We also had the distinct pleasure of visiting the original Sun Records Studio in Memphis as well as taking in the remarkable restoration of Johnny Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess, a must visit place for every Cash fan. If you would like to see photos from our experience please click the link here to be taken to the gallery!

Concluding that visit was A.R CASH’s debut performance in Memphis, TN for Elvis enthusiasts at one of Elvis’ favorite hangouts “Dad’s Place”. We look forward to returning for Elvis Week in August, more to come about these performances soon!

Of course we are also excited to announce returning to Winnipeg for Unreal: Canada’s Ultimate Tribute Festival at the Assiniboia Downs on July 7th and more summer shows that are now up on the website. Make sure to visit our SHOWS page for details and keep an eye on Facebook for updates as more dates are being added very soon!

Catching up!

It’s been a whirlwind of a start to 2019 and it’s only April! Catching up, we performed our first show as A.R CASH in Nashville, Tennessee on January 9th, 2019 at the prestigious venue 3rd & Lindsley, it was a thrill and we are looking forward to more.

In the beginning of February I returned with A.R CASH to perform two sold out shows in one of our favourite places- Saskatchewan! Thank you to all in Foam Lake on Feb. 7th and in Preeceville Feb. 8th that came out to support their communities, raise some money for a good cause and be part of a great time, both events were sold out and a lot of fun!

We returned Feb. 23rd to perform at the Storyteller’s Museum & Johnny Cash’s Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, TN continuing the “Saturday Nite in Hickman County” tradition started by Johnny Cash long ago. Our friend Mark Alan Cash hosted and performed with us too! The talented Mark Fain is joined us on upright bass, he has an amazing resume and is currently a member of Roseanne Cash’s band. We also really enjoyed celebrating Johnny’s birthday with the legendary Tommy Cash, what a week!

Fast forward to this week, we are performing our first show in Murfreesboro, TN on April 12th, 2019 at the Hop Springs Taproom at the Steel Barrel Brewery and we are THRILLED to have a surprise guest joining us on stage. You’ll have to be there to find out who, though! Tickets are available online here so don’t hesitate to put your order in if you’ll be in the area. Of course we are also excited to return to Winnipeg for the holidays and can’t miss celebrating with everyone so please come down to the Royal George Hotel on April 21st for a special show featuring a familiar face that you may not have seen with us in awhile. The fun kicks off at 4:30 PM, just in time to finish Easter lunch! Check out the show listings page for more details.

Love, Ashley
